Essay
Describe the past and present of food. Predict the future of food ,with reference to class materials and historical trends.
When it comes to food there has been many changes that has impact many peoples lives. For example back then in the 1900's everything that was eaten it was grown. Being a farmer was a prestige job to have, everyone looked up to farmers because they were the ones that provided the goods to the community. The quality of the food was different it was grown naturally and it was nourished naturally there wasn’t any fancy gadgets that would make the process any faster everything grew at its paste.
Now we come to the present day things have changed drastically now is more of man vs machine. “The big question is whether the logic of an industrial food chain can be reconciled to the logic of the natural systems...” Meaning that everything that is being eating is being process. Everything that is being grown by the industrial has fasten the growth of things they no longer grow at there own paste. It has gotten to the point were if hormones or any other chemical need to be added to make the products grow faster then that will be done. And that is why the majority of the population suffer form obesity.
The world has evolved so drastically that predicting the future on how food would be is a imaginary mind set “jetson”. Things would probably be so at your access it would in a blink of an eye. Thing would be available to you so quickly that you wont even realize that is being brought to you. Everything would be done be machinery so we really wouldnt need any farmers or any kind of man work .

industral food

Food

The industrial food system is the process of production that involves machinery and food. Most of the people that work in the factories are immigrants; these people don't involve their feeling when is time to work. The cattle's are sacrificed and they don't live their lives how they are supposed to live. I don't have a lot of experience with industrial food system because I don't like fast food restaurants but one of my experience in the IFS is subways that are recognize because they have a slogan that tell us that is healthier. When I go there I order a pastrami sandwich, which have pastrami, cheese and other kind of vegetables all of this food involves the sacrifice of animals to make more profit the people that work on this kind of “restaurant” they act like robot. Hi what kind of bread you what and another person ask you, what kind of cheese then another ask you what else you want in your sandwich ok is $, the people that work in that kind of restaurants are always smiling and being friendly. But I still have the IFS that we buy in the supermarkets they are not fast food but they still are industrial food. Why is the industrial food the primary source of the U.S.A. because it is relate to the nutrition that is based on the industry that we consume in every meal. Some of the problems in the industrial food system are the way that they treat the products the are tread in a horrible way and their environment is repulsive, they are in cages or crates, they sleep and eat their on excrement . They insert hormones to this animals this causes to grow faster than normal animals growing in normal farms, and all this industrial food has preservatives so they could live longer.

The industrial food system matters, because it helps all of the fast food restaurant chains and supermarkets to make more profit. In return this has a bad effect on the consumers and workers. The industrial food affect the workers because the farms doesn't take care of the cattle, chickens, poultry how they should do it, by doing this job the are in risk of losing parts of their body or they can be killed. The workers condition is poor because they could be attack by an animal if is not killed properly, the environment is repulsive because their is blood all over the place and they could get infected by an animal diseases. This causes a hostile environment because some of the workers are not supported with medical benefits to help them to recover. This is affecting the consumer because the animals are eating each other that can pass on diseases. When the animals are cut up the worker tend to leave the shit in the stomach. This is because the workers cannot move fast enough to take it out correctly. Then the shit that is left in the stomach is process in your burger.

Eat well, be well

This essay will be stating on the issues on people habits of eating ,because most of us don’t eat well and we don’t eat what we should be eating at times. In addition eating healthy food that give us all the nutrients that our body needs for be heathier what people should eat is vegetables and supplements of the meat but is not so bad for our body here are some explanation about meat way people eat meat. The decision of whether to eat animal meat and poultry is often made on religious or ethical grounds. We will examine the issue on the basis of human health and this are some of the reason way we should stop eating meat and poultry. This are some of the benefits of eat animal muscle tissue consists primarily of protein with a varying amount of fat. An adequate protein intake is clearly important to health. Moreover, animal protein is a complete protein source that is it contains all the amino acids which are essential for human metabolism .Meat and poultry are good sources of B vitamins except for folic acid they are also rich in zinc and, except for veal and in iron. Meat also is dangerous“ fat and cholesterol, meat and poultry contain quite a bit of fat, and about one-third of that fat is saturated. Saturated fatty acid in the diet has been shown to be positively correlated with total blood cholesterol levels, and negatively correlated with (beneficial) HDL cholesterol levels .In fact, plasma cholesterol levels are believed to be more sensitive to saturated fat intake than to dietary cholesterol”Melvyn R. Werbach . This information should prevent most of the people to stop eat meat.
This information about vegetables shows all the nutrients and vitamins that they have.

• Health
Why eat vegetables?
Nutritional powerhouses, vegetables have vitamins and minerals and are good sources of dietary fiber. They're naturally low in fat, sodium and calories and contain no cholesterol.
Vegetables have phytochemicals — a group of compounds that may help prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and some cancers. Many vegetables, such as broccoli, green peppers and spinach, are also good sources of antioxidants — substances that slow down oxidation, a natural process that leads to cell and tissue damage.

This quote shows how vegetables could helps our health just by eating a portion of it at lease
ones a day, this prevent us of an illness.
“Previous studies have linked fruit and vegetable consumption with improved weight management and a reduced risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. However, the U.S. Department of Agriculture published a study in this month's issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association that revealed only 40 percent of Americans consume enough 0about five cups per day.” fruits and vegetables

• Afford ability
Vegetables could be very affordable even do all the nutrients, vitamin and minerals that they have. Everybody could buy vegetables, and they could gather any where.

• Ethics

The main healthy eating messages are the same for everybody. We should all be trying to do the following
• eating at least five portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day
basing meals on starchy foods such as pasta, rice, cereals and pulses such as beans, peas and lentils. These should make up about a third of the diet
• eating some protein foods such as dairy products, eggs or pulses and having a variety of these foods
• trying to grill, bake, poach, boil, steam, dry-fry or microwave instead of frying or roasting in oil
cutting down on sugar
• watching how much salt we're eating — it's a good idea to check food labels and try not to add salt to your food when you're cooking
• drinking about 1.2 litres (6 to 8 glasses) of fluid a day or more if you exercise
But you also need to make sure you're getting enough nutrients, especially protein, iron and selenium, which can sometimes be lacking in a meat-free diet eatwell.

I agree with the health argument just because is a family role ,religious or ethical ground way people should know that eating meat is not everything that we have in our world we have vegetables, grains all in our lives and in our society.

I agree with the affordability because people should think first in their pockets and their health and vegetables have al that every body could buy them and eated is every thing depends on you.
